This policy explains how Kinto collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Kinto iOS app and related services. It specifically discloses our use of Google user data as required by Google's API Services User Data Policy.
Google account ID, name, email, profile image (via openid, email, profile).
Event metadata (title, attendees, timing) when you connect Calendar to show events in Kinto. We do not send invites or modify calendar entries unless you explicitly use a feature that needs write access (not enabled by default).
Contact metadata (name, email, phone) to display contacts inside Kinto. We do not email your contacts.
Device type, app version, basic diagnostics (crash logs/metrics) to maintain and improve the service.
Notes, tags, voice transcriptions you intentionally create in Kinto.
Access tokens are stored securely and rotated according to provider best practices. Refresh tokens are encrypted at rest.
Your content (notes, transcriptions, tags) is stored in our database and backed up for reliability.
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time; we delete within 30 days, except data we must retain for legal or security reasons.
We do not sell your data.
We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising.
Service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics) access only what is necessary to provide the service and are bound by confidentiality and data‑processing terms.
Kinto is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We will update this policy as needed and post the new effective date here.
